Community College El Camino College
Major: Chicanx Studies
Minor: Spanish
Pronouns: she/her(s)/ella
About me:

I transferred from El Camino College in 2017. I’m a Chicanx Studies major and Spanish minor. I’m from South Central L.A. and currently live in Compton.

At El Camino College, I was the president of the Undocumented club. I’m currently a student advisor in a high school in Watts. Aside from school and helping my community, I’ve been dancing folklórico for more than 15 years in the city of Gardena. I also love going to concerts and finding new coffee shops.

As STOMP coordinator, I want to continue to create a space for the underrepresented community and have a stronger transfer presence on campus.

Community College El Camino College
Major: Sociology and Chicano/a Studies
About me:

I was born and raised in Compton. I enjoy going on hikes and visiting Dodger Stadium during my free time. I am also a Peer Mentor for the Center for Community College Partnership at El Camino College.

During my time at the community college, I was the Transfer Center student worker and that sparked my career goal of becoming an academic counselor and working with underrepresented communities.

As STOMP Coordinator, I want to make UCLA more transfer receptive and create a space for the transfer community on campus.

About me:

I am an immigrant, non-traditional, first-generation, commuting, parenting, disabled student of color. I represent a demographic of underrepresented students and marginalized identities. This fuels my sense of social responsibility to advocate and aid this community, all in effort to create an equitable and diverse space in academia and beyond.

I will focus my skill set as a Design Media artist within STOMP, to aid in transfer recruitment and in building a vital transfer student community within UCLA.
