Graduate School of Education & Information Studies - Transfer Admission
The UCLA Graduate School of Education & Information Studies' new B.A. in Education and Social Transformation prepares students to analyze current issues in education through a social justice lens and to emerge as effective advocates for positive change.
Transfer applicants interested in the Education & Social Transformation major are admitted to the pre-major status and may apply to the major once they have completed (or in the process of completing) the two required lower division courses. At this time, the minimum GPA for UCLA transfer is a 3.2 or higher. Transfer students will need to apply to the Education major during their first quarter at UCLA and before they have completed 135 quarter units. While there are no specific major preparation courses currently articulated at this time, at the request of the department, students are encouraged to complete IGETC.
